Speaker Bio
Rachel Strauss is the Founder and CEO of PBM Princess, LLC, a healthcare consulting firm focused on making healthcare more affordable, accessible, and understandable for employers and patients. With more than two decades of experience in the health insurance and pharmacy benefit management industry, Rachel is widely recognized for helping employers, payers, and healthcare innovators navigate the complex pharmacy and benefits landscape.

Rachel spent over 20 years at EHIM, Inc. (now ProCare Rx), where she helped scale the company from a small regional PBM to one of the top 20 PBMs in the United States. A nationally recognized sales leader for more than a decade, she later led strategic development and partnerships, building relationships across the self-funded employer ecosystem.

Today, through PBM Princess, Rachel advises employers, consultants, and healthcare startups on pharmacy strategy, go-to-market positioning, and building meaningful partnerships that improve access and reduce costs. She is known for translating complex healthcare issues—especially drug pricing and PBM structures—into language that employers and patients can actually understand.

Rachel is a frequent national speaker with nearly 100 engagements across employer, broker, and healthcare innovation conferences. Her thought leadership on pharmacy benefits and healthcare transparency has been featured in national media, podcasts, and television segments, where she advocates for patient-first pharmacy benefits and greater transparency in drug pricing.

She is also the host of the podcast Insfluencers, which highlights under-recognized changemakers working to improve healthcare, and a contributing producer of the documentary Side Effects May Occur, exploring the complexities of the PBM and pharmaceutical ecosystem. The film was recently showcased during the Sundance Film Festival, where it received a tremendous response.
